We’re starting our B Corp journey!
By Claire Mellon, Co-founder and Chief Client Officer
I’m excited to share that Cohesion is taking the next step on our purpose-led journey — we’re proud to announce that we’re now a Pending B Corp, joining a global community of businesses measuring and improving their social and environmental impact.
For those unfamiliar with the movement, B Corp certification recognises businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. As a Pending B Corp, we’re working towards full certification and using the next 12 months to measure our impact, strengthen our practices, and continue building a business that aligns with our values.
When Paul and I founded Cohesion, our goal was simple: to create a financial planning firm that puts people and purpose first. Becoming a Pending B Corp feels like a natural extension of that – a way to formalise our commitment to sustainability, ethical practice, and doing the right thing, not just for our clients, but for our community and the wider world.
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing more about our progress – the successes, the challenges, and the lessons we learn along the way – to hold ourselves accountable and, we hope, to encourage others in financial services who are exploring the same path.
Here’s to doing business with purpose, learning as we go, and building something meaningful!
